After seeing the scan of the girl on the couch, I was struck with the idea of an open modeling session for this wall.
It was made completely from scratch outside of the additional Murata scans used. The walls, floor, easel, window, and paintings are all made from scratch. The paintings were done in painter, and the rest of the wall in photoshop.
Well, A long time ago in an attempt to back-up my laptop I archived all my walls onto some obscurely named folder on my external HD. Today, I explored that HD and found this wall, half finished. So, because I like the scan, I decided to finish it!
It's nothing special, just a simple wall of a girl laying in some grass. Like I said, I like the scan, and so, a nice simple relaxing wall was what I wanted to do. Scan was a bit of a bitch to work with cause her arms and legs aren't all flat in the grass, so I had to kind of decipher in some places which parts i should have up, and which should be in the grass.
This was made for the second challenge on the battlegrounds for the Crimson Orchestra vs. theIIDFWP. The challenge was to wall murata in black and white. Don't hurt your neck.
Stepped out of my usual grunge style on this one. Created for the second battle in the battlegrounds competition. The rules said we had to use a murata or abe scan, make the wall black and white, and have an urban theme.
This is not at all what the original wall looked like when i started. when i started, it was full, and more abstract grunge. and i hated it. so i decided to crop it, make it kind of secretive and forbidden. i've always been a fan of art like that.
I loved the peacefulness of this image and HAD to wall it, but not wall is so much as it loses it's original softness and feel.So, basically, it's one of those touched-up, just add texture walls. Pretty much, all i did was rotate the image, add some texture, add those shadows from the tree branches, and add some text to call it done.
